Turning off State Highway 8 on the southern side of Twizel you will find this camp located on the shores of Lake Ruataniwha. Nestled in amongst the trees in natural surroundings you will enjoy plenty of room to move in this 50 acre park.
The large sites are varied and set amid pine trees, with a fairly stony base. There are 27 cabins, 130 powered sites and endless room for tents.
The kitchen has a new look with all upgraded equipment, a TV and an outside dining area. Cool lockers can be hired. There are well-appointed showers in the ablutions block with gas hot water. The laundry offers excellent automatic equipment.
More amenities are open when the camp is busy, there is a dump point and barbecues scattered throughout the grounds. A TV and video/games room has a small library. You can hire mountain bikes, canoes etc, and get a fishing license.
