Now known as "Glenavys Waitaki River Motor Camp". Situated approximately 200metres from the Waitaki River. Well known for its famous salmon. You can also catch trout, whitebait, flounder, mullet at certain times of the year. Please inquire as to the times of the year that you can catch the salmon, trout and Whitebait. Licences are required also. In April you can go duck hunting on the river, and if that is not for you, there is a lot of other things that you can do like relaxing and having a restfull holiday in our lovely camp. There are walking and cycling tracks in the district, beautiful Oamaru 20mins south, Waimate and its famous Wallabies 15 mins north west, and the lakes within an hours drive.
Our camp is well maintained, clean and tidy, you are made to feel most welcome. We have 36 powered sites, unpowered sites and 3 cabins.
Shared kitchen, showers, toilets, and coin operated laundry facilities.
Wifi is available in certain parts of the camp.
