Cooks beach is a small coastal settlement strung out along a wide sweeping beach frontage, and is bounded inland by the presence of foothills. The larger town of Whitianga is nearby, and access between the two settlements is via a short ferry trip across a channel inlet.
The camp is set in landscaped, park-like grounds with beautiful trees and sheltered camping areas. Modern cottages, chalets and tourist flats provide all-year-round holidaying in a rural, coastal setting ideal for families and groups.
A great central location to explore Captain Cooks territory.
Two concrete boat ramps provide access to Cathedral Cove Marine Reserve and the historic Shakespeare Cliff gives a panoramic view of Mercury Bay.
Walk to the white sands of Cooks Beach, close to Hot Water Beach, Hahei & Cathedral Cove.
Activities include safe swimming, boating and fishing and the camp is only 100 metres from the local shops.
