WHAT MAKES A GOOD CARAVAN PARK?

The most important thing for disabled people using caravan sites is access. The following details are just some of the things that are so very important:

Good access to the reception area
No gravel, cobbles or pot-holes in the car parks
Easy access to the public telephone
Level pitches in easy reach of the toilet block
Ramps, not stairs, to reach all facilities.
Plenty of securely fastened hand rails in the washrooms
Wheelchair friendly toilet block
At least one washbasin with lever taps
Enough room to manoevre a wheelchair
No sprung doors
Hand rails on both side of the ramps and stairs
